Facing Fentanyl: Stories From The Opioid Crisis

First-person recovery narratives, clinical perspective, and the science behind one of the deadliest drugs in modern American history.

About the show

Facing Fentanyl tracks the opioid crisis through the voices of the people living it. Each season follows recovery journeys episode-by-episode — high school to heroin to fentanyl, detox to relapse to treatment, and the long grind of building a life after opiates. Interviews are paired with clinical framing so listeners hear both the human story and the science.

The show is intentionally honest and includes content about substance use, overdose, suicide, and trauma. If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline or the SAMHSA National Helpline (1-800-662-HELP). Listener discretion is advised.
